Starting with a
comprehensive evaluation by Dr. Crespo and Judith A. Dano, R.N.,
ARNP, a plan of care is created specifically for each patient’s
particular injury. The clinic’s emphasis is on noninvasive
treatment. A full spectrum of therapeutic modalities is available,

Why See a Medical Doctor?
At a medical doctor’s office, the clinic is concerned
with the entire physical condition of the patient. If needed, a
patient may be referred for surgical evaluation, although Dr. Crespo
notes, only five to seven percent of the patients seen in the office
are actually candidates for surgery. In addition, patients who are
coping with daily pain often develop depression. The clinic offers a
multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of depression and pain
referring patients to the specialists in the community that offer
comprehensive care for their medical needs. Patients with routine
illnesses, however, are referred back to their primary care
physicians for treatment. Although a wide array of therapy is
available at the clinic, a patient may have underlying or concurrent
problems requiring additional care. Continual assessment and
reevaluation is used to monitor progress and to determine if a
patient needs a referral to other professionals. Patient "S" was one
of those patients. After comprehensive neuropsychological testing, a
brain scan revealed cerebral bruising as the cause of her memory
issues. She was referred to a neurologist to continue treatment.
